As well as studio workshops, here at GCPhoto we also often do location workshops where you can join us on a real photoshoot. The location always changes, but it's always somewhere with a great backdrop for some brilliant images. For this photoshoot, we set up in Currumbin on the Gold Coast with models Jade and Cherie. We started off in the middle of the afternoon in the sunshine and then carried on shooting until it was almost dark. For some of the shots, we simply used the natural lighting, particularly as the sun was beginning to set, which is often the best time of day to shoot with natural light. In the harsh midday sun, we used a combination of diffusers and reflectors. As the sun began to set, we used portable studio lights and balanced the exposure of the lights with that of the evening sky. I particularly like the evening shots, so that's most of the shots in this beach photography gallery.
Location photoshoots are more of a challenge than studio photography, but it does bring something extra to the images, and I hope you agree that these photographs are great.
Cheers,
